Kirandur demo ends soon

As a celebration of their second birthday, the Kuloran players announced a playable demo of their MMO Kirandur on August 8th, which was the date of their second birthday. Patrons - people who decide to support the game financially through their Patreon - could enter the world of Kirandur on August 20th, two days earlier than regular players which were able to enjoy the game on August 22nd.

The Demo Includes a Character creator that allows the creation of up to Five characters. From the Selection of races the game will eventually include, only the human race is playable. You can choose between three different classes (warlock, veil knight and poisoner) and several exciting origins that could matter more in the future than they do in this demo. Individual tutorials for every class are available, even though some criticized them for not being equal in Difficulty and complexity. For example, the tutorial of the vale knight is rather short and straightforward, while the poisoner's tutorial is long and involves navigating a large estate full of rooms and hallways. Apart of that, Kirandur also already features some playable content such as quests and dungeons, and a competition in which six players could win a custom house with own stories behind them that took place a day ago.

The launch was rather rough, as the server could not hold over 140 players trying to play at once. Tutorial progress also did not save across server reboots and as such, some players were quite frustrated. However, a few days later the server is running quite stable and lag-free, and the first rough hours were compensated by the demo extending by another day.

Kirandur generally is perceived quite positively, with a lot of players praising it for it's mechanics, sound quality and the amount of content the TKP team was able to produce in such a short time - players especially expressed love for the small details present throughout the entire game. However, there are some critics being frustrated about the combat and the UI. The staff was communicative and answered to most of the critics. After the demo is over, so they said, they will be sitting down to discuss all the constructive feedback shared and will work further on improving the game.

Over all, this demo was a huge win for both sides. The players finally could get a look into Kirandur, while the TKP team got a lot of valuable diagnostics and data about server load and bugs to fix. If you are reading this before the demo access ends, which is supposed to happen on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 (the exact time is unknown) you - in the humble opinion of our team - should definitely give it a try as nobody knows when we will get such an opportunity again. You also can find their wiki here, which contains a lot of game lore.
